Working an incident
The ⋮ menu on an incident row carries the follow-up.

Update status moves it along its life and records what was done.

Who can do this
incident:update, and incident:resolve to close one.
Choose the new status and add a note saying what was done. The note is optional to the form and essential in practice — an incident that closes with no explanation tells a future reader nothing.

The resolved count goes up and the row's status changes.
What "resolved" should mean
Resolve an incident when the underlying cause is fixed, not when the person got through the gate:
| Reason logged | Resolved when |
|---|---|
| Spoilt / lost card | A replacement badge has been issued and the old card revoked. |
| Expired card | The badge has been renewed or reissued. |
| Not reading | Either the card was replaced, or the reader was repaired and confirmed working. |
| OBU failure | The unit has been refitted or swapped, and the vehicle reads at the gate. |
An incident closed because the shift ended is an incident that will happen again tomorrow.
