Acknowledging a return

Who can do this

TotalEnergies, device-stock:acknowledge. Management → Stock Overview → the contractor → Returns.

Acknowledge return records what actually came back, one line at a time.

Condition	What happens
Good	Back to stock, unassigned. Ready to issue again.
Damaged	Quarantined, awaiting triage.
Faulty	Quarantined, awaiting triage.
Never arrived	It stays On its way back and appears on the exceptions list. It is still the contractor's responsibility until it is produced.

A Note is offered on every line and is optional — use it to say what was wrong.

Never arrived is not a way to close a line. It is the honest record of a device nobody can find, and it keeps ageing on the exceptions list until somebody resolves it, either by producing the device or by declaring it lost (Declaring a device lost).
